I love that it's much more accessible now to find restaurants catering to vegan diets. I'm so very appreciative of these restaurants that really shine for people who aren't vegan/vegetarian. If you have friends with food limitations or not, this restaurant is strongly recommended. The FLAVORS are soooo good, everyone would enjoy it. I'm glad I tried the ceviche, it was probably one of my favs. The fries were nice and crispy. I ordered some tacos, you can never go wrong with that. The surprising fan favorite was the pancakes! Not my cup of tea but the table loved it. It was also fun guessing the agua frescas drink of the day. (None of us guessed it correctly lol) The service was good. Parking was street parking. If you're sitting outside, beware of the sun haha it was pretty hot during the time I went. I'll be back again for a nice brunch with my vegetarian/vegan friends.

I recently stopped at Gracias Madre while in West Hollywood and had an absolutely delightful experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. We started with the Guacamole & Chips, along with a delicious salsa. The guacamole was fresh and perfectly seasoned, and the chips were crisp and not too oily. For my main course, I ordered the Gracias Madre Taco Salad and added a side of Crispy Garlic Tofu and Barbacoa. The salad was fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavors. The crispy garlic tofu was perfectly cooked, adding a nice texture, while the barbacoa brought a rich, savory taste that complemented the salad beautifully. I also enjoyed a margarita (or two) without agave since I was trying to avoid sweeteners. The staff were incredibly accommodating and crafted the drink perfectly to my preference--it was refreshing and just what I needed. The staff at Gracias Madre were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Overall, Gracias Madre provided an excellent dining experience, with delicious food and top-notch service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great vegan meal in West Hollywood! While I did not have my pup with me, I did see other dogs, so I'm guessing they are pup friendly.

Jamie W. and I had meant to come here on our last trip to WeHo, but I got confused because it was right next to Great White Melrose which looked quite similar to each other. Neither restaurant had prominent signage. When we were finally seated, I was puzzled by the menu, and the server had to point out to me that we weren't in Gracias Madre. Oh well, at least it was good (review). Several months later, we were in the middle of the PRIDE festivities and needed to get something to eat away from the crowds on Santa Monica Blvd. I suggested we return and actually go inside Gracias Madre this time. It was full of PRIDE revellers in the patio and the dining room but strangely not in the bar lounge area where they had tables for two. We thought we'd be ignored, but no, they were most attentive. We were thirsty, so we ordered our beverages first. Jamie kept it clean with the $5.50 Lemonade, while I was more of a princess and ordered the $16 Sangria, a delightfully fruity melange of rose, strawberry, rosato aperitivo, cacao, banana, and citrus (photo: https://yelp.to/SHEKtMk9li). Of course that meant we needed the $15 Guacamole and Chips which didn't disappoint with the mashed avocado tasting particularly fresh (photo: https://yelp.to/vsQEKKgN9y). For my main meal, I started with the reasonably priced $11 Carnitas Pozole, a hearty, flavorful vegan rendition with guajillo-ancho chile broth, jackfruit carnitas, hominy, onion, cilantro, white cabbage, avocado, and tortilla strips (photo: https://yelp.to/C5wRmC6Luy). Jamie went with the $22 Oaxaca Bowl, a tasty mix of soy chorizo, cabbage, corn, chipotle beans, guajillo rice, romaine, guacamole, tortilla strips, ginger cilantro crema, and aleppo pepper (photo: https://yelp.to/xuqKB8Jb73). I decided to complement the pozole with the $18 El Cortes, a plain but fresh mix of quinoa, steamed vegetables, avocado, and spinach (photo: https://yelp.to/3v0rbvDZhO). I was warned by the server that I might find it bland, but after all our PRIDE celebrations, it was nice to eat something quite healthy for a change. Now that we know which restaurant is which, we'll likely return for more tasty Mexican vegan fare on our next adventure in WeHo. FOOD - 4 stars...first-rate vegan fare AMBIANCE - 4 stars...quite spacious, a perfect fit on Melrose SERVICE - 4 stars...attentive considering all the PRIDE distractions TOTAL - 4 stars...a healthy, tasty spot in WeHo RELATED - Exploring WeHo?
